Children’s Vision

As a child grows the brain learns how to use the eyes to see. This includes capturing the image in front of them and then processing the details and information it contains.

This is called VISION.

At Eyespire we are passionate about kids vision. We approach optometry with a behavioural vision care philosophy.

Our job as Optometrists is to determine how a child uses their ­­­­eyes and how they perceive the world. We work closely with school teachers, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and general practitioners to provide a means of supporting and correcting any visual learning difficulties.

The longer a vision problem goes undiagnosed and untreated, the more a child’s brain learns to accommodate the vision problem.
